  • Mr. Shyam brings with him the rich experience of 16 years in the HR field, having started his career in an unconventional way with an International NGO. He spent 6 years with the International NGO and was Heading the HR for the Indian Operations before joining an MNC start up company Cosmos Group where he worked for a year setting up the HR dept, Systems & Processes from the scratch before moving to House of TATAs. Within the TATA Group his first stint was with TATA International Heading their Learning & Development Function for 2 years and then was job rotated to TATA Power as part of the Group Talent Management process heading Talent Management, PMS, Employee Engagement and OD function at Corporate HR for about 3 years and presently with Tata Power SED one of the Divisions of Tata Power as Head HR since past 4 years. Shyam is also an in-house trainer for varied workshops. His areas of interest include Competency based HRM, evolving and executing HR Strategies, Management Training and OD.
  • Mr. Shyam enjoys working with people and attributes his success to his learning’s from his first boss and people from the International NGO. An extremely warm, soft spoken and very intuitive person, Shyam is a keen observer and a quick learner. He has a knack of dealing with people and adapts himself to suit various situations and people. He is a voracious reader and reads a cross section of books.
  • Mr. Shyam completed his Commerce graduation along with Masters Diploma in Computer Science, after which he did his ACS (Associate Company Secretary) from I.C.S.I, New Delhi and MDBA in HR from Symbiosis, Pune. Shyam also served on the Management Committee of Thane, Bombay Management Association for 2 years and is a life member of the National HRD Network. He was also a guest faculty for the CS Foundation students for a year. He is actively involved as a core team member of Trainers Forum and HR Club. He is part of the Academic Council Members of the Kohinoor Business School, Khandala and a visiting faculty of HRM to IBS Business school, Powai. He was conferred the “HR Leadership Award” at the prestigious 7th Employer Branding Awards, 2012.
  • Mr. Shyam’s hobbies include teaching, listening to music, reading, etc. He enjoys travelling to explore and learn.
